The weather’s been a real pain for taking photos, it’s always cloudy and all my photos are turning out dark. I did manage to get some sun and took this pics of my finished knitting roll-up:

As promised, I’ve got some juicy shots of the notion pouch to share:

It’s just a simple pocket, and it’s going to come with the “White Knitter’s Purse”:http://karissacove.com/journal/2006/05/20/the-white-knitters-purse/. I’m just finishing up the touches on the matching needle roll-up, and should have some photos tomorrow.
I’ve wanted to post photos of the first finished Knitter’s purse for a couple days, and today the weather finally cooperated:

The purse pattern is done, I’m really happy with the inside layout and the dimensions. All that’s left is to get a few more designs ready. This is what the inside looks like:

I’ve put the needle pocket on a slant so that the purse doesn’t have to be super-extra huge. I love this feature, easy access to extra needles is so fab!

The three little pockets on the opposite side are perfect for circular needles and scissors, but could just as easily fit an iPod and a cellphone. The little loops are really handy for keeping your yarn from getting in the way.

There’s a lot of room in this purse for almost any size project — I’m so happy with the way the finished product turned out. It really is handy to carry knitting in, it’s not gimmicky at all.
I’ve also finished the matching notion pouch, photos of that tomorrow!
Like I mentioned yesterday, I’ve made some progress with the knitting purse – I’ve got one of my designs finished, which turned out a lot like “my first idea”:http://karissacove.com/journal/2006/04/11/the-fabric-experiment/:

I chose to tone down the colours, and put it on white instead of denim. I think it looks really preppy, and will be perfect for spring.
I’ve got the bag all finished up, and will post some pics tomorrow. I can’t wait to carry my knitting around!
