I’ve wanted to post photos of the first finished Knitter’s purse for a couple days, and today the weather finally cooperated:

The purse pattern is done, I’m really happy with the inside layout and the dimensions. All that’s left is to get a few more designs ready. This is what the inside looks like:

I’ve put the needle pocket on a slant so that the purse doesn’t have to be super-extra huge. I love this feature, easy access to extra needles is so fab!

The three little pockets on the opposite side are perfect for circular needles and scissors, but could just as easily fit an iPod and a cellphone. The little loops are really handy for keeping your yarn from getting in the way.

There’s a lot of room in this purse for almost any size project — I’m so happy with the way the finished product turned out. It really is handy to carry knitting in, it’s not gimmicky at all.
I’ve also finished the matching notion pouch, photos of that tomorrow!

[…] It’s just a simple pocket, and it’s going to come with the White Knitter’s Purse. I’m just finishing up the touches on the matching needle roll-up, and should have some photos tomorrow. […]

Would you make one that is not a knitters purse (plain on the inside), for those that love the white and ribbon design but don’t know how to knit :(

Yeah I second that request. I would buy a purse with that design in a heartbeat. :)

This purse could easily be put to good use by non-knitters as well! There are pockets of all sizes that also fit iPods, cell phones, other tech gadgets plus a few big pockets that would fit magazines. And you could use the little yarn holder tabs for your earphone wire! It’s super functional for everybody.

are you going to offer a pattern for the tote as well or just the finished product? I would love to make one for myself!
