I’ve been to two BBQ’s this weekend, and one of my favourite dishes to bring is Mr. Noodle Salad:

It’s quick and easy to make (and multiply for larger amounts), and everyone always loves it. Here’s the recipe.
Salad Ingredients:
1 bag precut coleslaw
1 package Oriental Mr.Noodle
2 tsp white sugar
1 bunch green onions
1/2 Cup dry roasted slivered almonds
1/2 Cup unsalted sunflower seeds
Dressing Ingredients:
Mr. Noodle Seasoning
4 TBSP sugar
4 TBSP white vinegar
1/2 Cup Oil
In a large bowl, sprinkle 2 tsp of sugar over cabbage and mix. Wisk all of dressing ingredients until sugar dissolves. Pour over salad and mix. Top with dry roasted slivered almonds, sunflower seeds, chopped green onion and crunched noodles.
I’ve heard of lots of different variations: Chicken, Mandarin Oranges, Sesame Seeds, Chives, so don’t be afraid to experiment!

ahhh, yes! This is one of my standby potluck items.
I make it practically the same as you except I add a little Asian flavour by using rice wine vinegar, adding soy sauce to the dressing, just a dash of sesame oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. The green onions taste so amazing in this salad!

My friend totally made this the other day, and I was like, “that is NOT going to taste good at all…” but it was really very surprisingly tasty!!!
If I wasn’t expected to make potato salad for every BBQ I go to, I would make this instead. :)

I know, it is suprisingly delish! I wake up in the middle of the night craving this salad…..it’s that good! Plus I think that I may be a cabbagoholic, if that even exists?!

This salad is a classic and a great time saver when you need a take along dish in a hurry.
How do you like etsy? I am a silversmith looking for a place to sell my stuff online. I’ve tried eBay but there is sooo much junk on there. Love your blog and your work, very creative. Marj
