April 9th, 2006 Welcome Friends!

Welcome Welcome Welcome Welcome
Hello everybody,

Doesn’t it look different around here? Welcome to part one of my new website, and the beginning of a fresh start for me. When I wrote about getting back-to-basics, this is what I was planning to do, chop down my website and my business and build it up again from scratch.

I love being crafty, it’s my favourite thing in the entire world, and I want to share that feeling instead of keeping it all bottled up. When Kevin (my main squeeze and partner) and I went back to the drawing board, the thing I wanted most was to be able to share all the crafty things I do, and show everyone else how to do them as well.

The first thing I’m going to do on the site, while the rest of it is being built, is document the process of making my next project, a purse made especially for knitters! This is something I’ve wanted for make forever, ever since I picked up needles, and I’ve got a tonne of ideas to work with.

The website’s going to be changing a lot over the next few weeks, as well, there’s a new shop on the way and I’ve got plenty of other crafty tricks up my sleeve. I feel so happy right now, I love my new website!

[…] Like I mentioned yesterday, I’ve made some progress with the knitting purse – I’ve got one of my designs finished, which turned out a lot like my first idea: […]

Jessica–I haven’t decided if the notion pouch will be available to purchase seperately.
But the cute heart design above probably won’t be one of my end designs. It’s just a little pouch I made a few years for a prototype for another purse I was working on at the time. But you never know…

Mieke–Thanks for your sweet comment! My boyfriend/computer wiz built my site for me. We host it at site5.com

The easiest way for crafty folk who want to sell their goodies online, but don’t have a website, is to sell through etsy.com here’s a link: http://www.etsy.com/seller_welcome.php I personally haven’t sold through them yet, but tonnes of people do!

Take care + best of luck with your crafty adventure!
